Reputation systems: One of the ongoing challenges with Wikipedia is the assurance that articles are kept to a high standard of reliability. Because of the enormous number of articles, there have been several attempts to produce automatic metrics to compute the predicted reliability of an article; some of these are covered in the Content: Quality: Reliability category. One alternate strategy is to use the reputation of the contributors to an article as a proxy for an article’s reliability, with the assumption that when contributors with proven track records of working on high quality articles contribute to unconfirmed articles, these other articles will likely be of relatively high quality.
